[Range Overview] 16 Channel Network Attached Storage (NAS) The practical alternative to stand-alone recorders: The NAS (network attached storage) system records up to 16 ABUS IP cameras. The difference between a NAS and NVR (network video recorder) is that the NAS is used solely as a storage medium (suitable for up to 4 SATA hard disk drives), whilst the NVR is equipped with video outputs and its own software. Data security is ensured by the RAID system, if one drive fails another takes over automatically. All data is always available, and the faulty HDD can simply be replaced. Call-up, display and system control are all made exclusively via remote access using a browser.
