[Range Overview] 4 and 8 Channel Digital Recorders Powerful and user-friendly multi channel digital recorders can be used to store and archive images from up to 8 cameras (depending on model) on to 4 hard disks per recorder using H.264 compression (6 compression levels available). A colour display shows recorder status. 4 different flashing and solid lights indicate whether the DVR is currently recording, in guard mode (schedule active but not currently recording), operational or whether there is a fault (failure in the video signal, hard disk etc.). Lights for each individual camera also show whether a camera is connected and whether the channel is currently recording. Tiresome status checks on the monitor are a thing of the past - you can check that everything is working at a glance as you walk past the DVR.,The recorder is designed for 4 x 3.5 in. SATA hard disks (max. size 2TB each, not supplied). Recording can be started manually, according to a schedule, when motion is detected in the field of view, by triggering an alarm sensor or by a combination of individual modes (depending on the desired detection sensitivity and protection against false alarms). Both DVRs have 16 alarm inputs and 4 relay outputs for wired sensors (NO or NC) in the event of an alarm. PTZ cameras can be controlled via an RS-485 interface.,Triplex operation (live view, playback and data export) concurrently. 3 USB connections or a network connection for data backup. Recordings can also be viewed over a LAN and via internat with dynamic IP address support. A jog shuttle dial helps to locate recordings, along with a search by event, date & time. A mouse for operating the recorder, via on screen display is included.
